What seperates PMA Kids from other child model/talent agencies?

- PMA Kids talent agency has a small amount of models on the books therefore the children are not competing against large amounts of other children in their age group. Our client base is extensive however we like our models to be actively working and put forward for as many opportunities as possible.

- PMA Kids joining fee is less than 50% of all other leading agencies. Our renewel fee after 12 months is less than 75% of all other leading agencies. As clients are requesting natural happy snaps of the children rather than staged professional images, we ask parents to provide us with their favourate collection to represent their child with. These can be a mix of everything, as long as they are within 3 months recent.

- PMA Kids ensures that you have full access to your childs secure model profile ensuring that the details are up to date such as dress size, development, experience etc. You can also email us new photos every 2 months which we can upload at no additional cost.

- PMA Kids have a very personal relationship with all parents and kids involved with the agency. You are welcome to call us at any time with your queries, we are always willing to assist you in every way possible. Our staff are NOT on commission for applications unlike many other agencies. We only accept those we feel are suitable for our team.

- PMA Kids do not take an addition agency commission from your childs final invoice, and full payment is made within 14 days of the job.

- PMA Kids do not pay for online marketing to attract multiple children onto the books like many other agencies do. We focus on our entensive workload for our models, rather than recruiting loads of children and profiting from the fees.

- If your child is shortlisted to be interviewed by PMA Kids after recieving their application, it is a personal one on one interview with no deposit fee required. We allow as much time as required with the parents and children to answer all questions and be completely thorough.

- PMA Kids Agency has many clients who work exclusively with us because of the outstanding professional service we provide. They enjoy the personal touch and also the exceptional talent we provide.

What locations in Australia does PMA Kids service?

PMA Kids is currently operating in Queensland and Melbourne Victoria with plans to expand into Sydney in 2010. Our PMA Kids Head Office is located on the Gold Coast and we receive requests for talent and jobs, spreading from Northern NSW, inland Qld to north of the Sunshine Coast. The majority of our Queensland clientele base request PMA Kids models for work on the Gold Coast right through to Brisbane.

Is modelling work guaranteed at PMA Kids?

Within any modelling agency, no company can always guarantee their talent work. However, at PMA Kids our staff strives to maintain and create new client-business relationships on a daily basis. This means more contacts for us and more available work for our models. While PMA Kids is a new child modelling agency, there are already an abundance of job opportunities available due to PMA’s long standing association and excellent reputation with their current client base.

The amount of children on our books is limited, hence ensuring that everyone who is selected for representation will be presented for every available job that suits the criteria requested. PMA Kids believe It would be non- productive to have children on the books that are not committed to their agency and therefore taking up the space of another child who would be more successful.

What ages does PMA Kids represent and how many models are on the books?

We represent babies from 6 months of age through to 16 year olds. Once PMA Kids have become teenagers we are able to transfer their representation to PMA Models, providing them with promotional and modelling opportunities Australia-wide.

We aim to keep our agency at a limited number of models on our books in each clothing size (00-12), preferring quality to quantity, unlike other agencies that may have hundreds of models on the books competing against each other for modelling and promotional work. PMA Kids is very selective with who we accept to our agency, ensuring we provide our clients with the very best talent.

How does PMA Kids represent your child and is there a joining fee?

PMA Kids does not charge a joining fee. However (as with all child agencies) parents will need to pay a small fee to cover the cost of your child’s online model portfolio profile and subsequent advertising methods. The total cost is $220 which is tax deductible.

What is included in the initial $220 membership with PMA Kids? (Please note from the 1st April 2010 the cost will be $280 per year) To renew your membership after that is only $195 per year) All prices are excluding GST

12 months representation on E Caster (QLD) or AE2 (VIC) which are Australia’s largest on-line casting service's providing fantastic opportunities in the talent industry. You have full access to your child's images and details therefore keeping it up to date. This is a secure site. Featured on our website www.pmakids.com.au where each model has their own secure ‘Model Profile’. Parents have full access to all information such as heigt and dress size, therfore it is kept up to date. New photos can be added every 2 months, free of charge. Upon signing up your child to PMA Kids we ask you to provide us with your own photos for representation. These do not necessarily have to be professional photos and it is actually advisable to use nice photos you have taken yourself that appear natural and flattering. The reason we do not incorporate a professional photo shoot into our package, is because the majority of our clients like to see recent photos of possible talent. This gives each client an insight into your child in a calm/happy environment where they are comfortable and their true personality can shine through.

In your initial interview with PMA Kids our staff will ask you to bring a variety of recent photos on a USB or CD. On acceptance we select the best 4-8 shots and use these for your child’s representation. You are welcome to change your child’s online ‘model profile’ images up to 4 times per year at no additional cost.

It is imperative to us that we keep the child’s details and images up to date. If you would like to arrange a professional photo shoot, we would be more than happy to give you details of highly reputable photographers who we recommend. Having professional photos however is not perceived as an advantage to your child gaining work in the modelling industry.

How much can my child earn with PMA Kids?

It is required that you keep an accurate record of hours when your child works, from start to finish. We have minimum booking time of two hours for every job. Rates for children vary from client to client and will also depend on the type of work involved. A general guide is provided below;

Photographic Advertising: $50-95ph

TV Commercials: Negotiable ($150-$25,000)

TV Extra: $30ph usually 6-8 hour days. You may only be on set for 15 minutes however get paid the entire booking time.

Fashion Parades and Promotional Campaigns: $30-$75ph

Once a job is completed we request that you send an invoice to PMA Models for the total cost of the job. We will ensure your child receives full payment 14 days from receipt of the invoice. The funds are electronically transfer into the account specified by you. There is NO agency commission deducted from your total invoice amount. When we book you for a job we quote your rates and that is after we have taken our Agency commissions.
Children do not require an ABN or TAX File Number or bank account until they reach the $6,000 industry threshold. On your child's first job you will be required to sign a document from the taxation department to state they are in the talent industry as a 'Hobby'.

How will my child be promoted and managed by PMA Kids?

Upon joining PMA Kids your child is immediately placed on the PMA Kids secure web site where clients have access to their model profiles. We also email them your child’s electronic model composite card to prospective clients, ensuring they are well aware of the new talent on the PMA books. We also set up your child’s Ecaster profile or AT2, an internet casting facility, which is also a secure-password protected site. As Australia’s leading agency we ensure we are consistently promoting your child to our client base. Once your child has been selected for a job or casting we will notify you by phone to give you full details of the job. Parents are welcome to call the office at any time with questions they may have. We are always here to assist you in everyway possible. How do I join my child up to PMA Kids?

If you think your child has what it takes to be in the TV and Modelling Industry, we invite you to submit two recent photographs and fill out our online application form.
